Ongoing Phoenix Storm Mondays and Wednesdays through September 23, 2009, the Phoenix Storm are conducting summer training a recruiting every Monday and Wednesday from 7-8pm at Steele Indian School Park, 3rd St. & Indian School Road in Phoenix. Training is non-contact and focused on the basics of rugby and general fitness. Newcomers are welcomed and encouraged to attend. 26 September 2009 Phoenix Storm The Phoenix Storm announce Bootcamp 1 on September 26 from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the campus of Longview Elementary School, 12th St. & Indian School Rd. in Phoenix. This is an all day event to introduce rugby fundamentals, run fitness drills and tests, meet the club, and enjoy a BBQ afterward. 12 September 2009 Kings Cross Steelers The Kings Cross Steelers open the 2009/10 season with a match against Loughton on September 12th at our East London ground. The season opener will be followed by an ‘allo’allo themed party, lots of cafe decorations, champagne, rows of onions and of course, the Fallen Madonna with the Big Boobies (sorry, you gotta see it to understand it). It will be the first match in a very long season for the Club.
22 August 2009 Chicago Dragons The Chicago Dragons’ Car Wash and BBQ Fundraiser will be held 10am–6pm in the parking lot of the Lucky Horseshoe, 3169 North Halsted Street, Chicago. $10 gets you a car wash performed by the members of the Dragons, plus the BBQ. DJ Zita Zie will be providing the live music.
8 August 2009 Nashville Grizzlies The Grizzlies are hosting a Rugby 101 clinic for new recruits and fans. This will be a day of to explain the general anarchy of the rugby pitch. 11am–1pm at Fit Nashville, home gym of the Grizzlies, 125 12th Avenue South, Nashville. Rugby social to follow.
